What is recorded here

This blue commemorative plaque records: In 1700 William Plomer began to develop a brewery on this site. A century later the Christie family bought it and continued its expansion to become one of the largest in the County and the town’s major employer. It was sold in 1928 and most of the buildings demolished shortly afterwards. Recorded plaque organisation: Broxbourne Borough Council.
