What is recorded here

William Blakeney died at Mount Blakeney in County Limerick on 20 September 1761, returning to the home where he was born after outlasting the French at Fort St Philip. He had spent decades moving through cannons, parliaments and castle walls, yet he left no heir to carry his name forward. The barony vanished with his breath, reducing a life full of fire and command to a quiet room in Limerick and a grave in Westminster.
