A wide shallow pool of clear water formed from a natural spring, used as a drinking place for livestock marks the site of the well depicted as 'White Well' on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. A stream runs S from the pool of water. No evidence of any votive offerings around the well or any evidence that the well was ever used as a site of pilgrimage. no evidence to suggest that this is the site of a holy well.
