White Heugh is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature composed of Silurian greywacke, formed around 440–420 million years ago through sedimentation and subsequent lithification in a deep marine environment. It is notable for its exposure of ancient volcanic and sedimentary rocks that are part of the Southern Uplands Terrane of Scotland.
