Wester Feorastane

Wester Feorastane is a basaltic sea cliff or coastal rock feature formed during the Paleogene period, approximately 60 to 55 million years ago, as a result of volcanic activity associated with the North Atlantic Igneous Province. It is notable as part of the rugged volcanic landscape of the Shetland Islands, reflecting the region's geological history of extensive basaltic lava flows and subsequent coastal erosion.
