West Cliff is a coastal limestone sea cliff in Dorset, formed from Cretaceous-age Chalk Group rocks, deposited around 90 to 100 million years ago in a shallow tropical sea. It is notable for its role in the iconic White Cliff landscapes of southern England and for ongoing coastal erosion that exposes geological layers and fossils.
