Wembury Bay features prominent Devonian-age limestone cliffs and rocky outcrops formed around 380 million years ago through marine sedimentation. The area is notable for its geological diversity and as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to its fossil-rich rocks and coastal erosion exposures.
