O'Grady's Well in Barnacullia, County Dublin, is a stone covered well approached through a lintelled passage in the middle of a field. The structure is thought to be medieval, though the exact years and the people who first drew water from it have faded from memory. The open field and hidden stone chamber create a sudden shift from ordinary countryside to ancient human purpose.
