Wedge tomb in Killough East

Near head of little valley opening to sea, on S side Beara peninsula. Ruined chamber (L 3.2m; Wth 1.2m) aligned NE-SW, represented by two sidestones covered by single roofstone. Wedge tomb, dating to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age (c. 2500–1000 BCE). Its alignment and construction reflect regional megalithic traditions of southwest Ireland.
