Inis Oírr in County Galway holds a wedge tomb, one of the oldest human monuments still standing on these islands. Its broad stones tilt like a broken roof, marking a place where people once buried their dead and remembered them across generations. The tomb has watched the sea, storms and forgotten lives pass by, keeping a quiet claim on the land long after the hands that built it disappeared.
