Detached single-bay single-storey vernacular outbuilding, erected c.1920, having pitched roped thatched roof, rubble limestone walls with large quoins. Square-headed window opening in south-west gable blocked with rubble limestone, and square-headed doorway to north-east gable having recent timber door.
This thatched outbuilding is part of an important group of similarly sized and detailed structures on the Aran Islands and one of two on Inis Oírr.
