What is recorded here
In Fearann an Choirce, a ruined wedge tomb opens east-west on limestone pavement, its narrow chamber no longer than a man outstretched. The gallery still holds a standing jamb and opposed side stones, while a displaced roof slab lies broken beside the field wall. People may have laid the dead beneath that shallow roof, then walked away to leave the chamber empty for the sea wind.
In the area of Inis Mór called Fearann an Choirce, on a level limestone pavement overlooking seashore to N. The monument, in ruins, consists of a slightly wedge-shaped gallery, aligned E-W, represented by two opposed sidestones (L 3.5m, Wth 1.5m at W end narrowing to 1.2m at E). A single outer wall stone survives to S. A jamb-like stone stands within the gallery at W end and 0.6m further W are two façade stones incorporated in a field wall. A large slab lying N of the gallery, and partly covered by the wall, may be a displaced roofstone. Slight traces of a mound are visible to N and S of the tomb.
