Weaver Hall Museum & Workhouse, originally a workhouse established in the 1830s, served as a relief institution for the poor in the area and later became a museum, preserving local history. It is important as a surviving example of 19th-century Poor Law architecture and as a centre for heritage and community education in Cheshire.
