Freestanding cast-iron water pump, erected c.1890, having banded base, fluted neck and cap, finial and cows tail handle. Surrounded on three sides by rendered walls.
A well-maintained water pump retaining its original handle and spout, enlivened by fine detailing. Kept in good order, this piece of street furniture is a reminder of the communal water provisions which were made before the installation of mains supply.
