The precise location of a medieval mill in the townland of Tullaghan has not been identified. This mill is mentioned in 1625 in an Inquisition Post Mortem into the estate of the deceased Theobald Dillon which lists as part of his possessions the 'half carucate of Tallaghan with a water-mill' (Lodge 1789, 179).
