What is recorded here
There was a mill at the junction of Butterfield Avenue and Rathfarnham villlage until its demolition late in the 19th century. Its proximity to the village and Rathfarnham castle suggests that it may have been one of the early mills in Rathfarnham (pers coms Rob Goodbody).
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
