A watermill is indicated and annotated ‘a mill’ on the Down Survey (1655-6) barony map of Sheelogher, ‘Sheelelogher’, in the NE portion of Burnchurch, on the W bank of the stream which flows roughly N-S (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin; http://downsurvey.tcd.ie/down-survey-maps.php#bm=Sheelogher&c=Kilkenny). The precise location of this watermill along this stretch of river is unknown.
