Gateway, c.1850, comprising pair of unpainted roughcast piers with cut-limestone stringcourses supporting cut-limestone capping, wrought iron double gates having cast-iron finials, sections of wrought iron flanking railings having cast-iron finials, unpainted roughcast outer piers with cut-limestone stringcourses supporting cut-limestone capping, and unpainted roughcast boundary wall having cut-limestone coping. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Farmley.
A gracefully-composed gateway making a pleasing visual statement at the entrance to the grounds of Farmley while retaining attractive iron work incorporating cast-iron embellishments.
