What is recorded here
Described in the Civil Survey (1654-6) as 'the ruines of a mill' (Simington 1931, vol.1, 19) and in 'Ballysharald'.. 'The sd John Purcell pprietor in fee by descent from his Ancestors. On this land is an old mill seate' (ibid. 20). This mill is unlocated within the townland of Ballysorrell Little.
