What is recorded here

Watch Law is a prominent hill in the Scottish Borders, rising to approximately 636 metres (2,087 ft) and forming part of the Cheviot Hills range. It is composed mainly of volcanic and metamorphic rocks, and its name may derive from the Old English "wæcce" (watch or vigil), possibly linked to its strategic position for border defense. The hill matters as a key geographical feature in the historic Anglo-Scottish border region.
