What is recorded here

A named place photographed at this map point in Wrexham.
Vinegar Hill in Rhosllannerchrugog rises to approximately 140 metres and is part of the low-lying landscape of the Welsh Marches. Its name may derive from a historical association with lead or copper mining, where acidic drainage from workings could have given the area a sharp, vinegar-like smell. The hill is locally significant as a named landmark in an otherwise gently undulating rural setting.
