What is recorded here
Freestanding circular-profile vent pipe, erected c. 1870, having cast-iron fluted and banded base with foundry mark, fibre shaft, and cast-iron decorative cowling.
Interesting feature in streetscape. The banding and fluting are well executed and along with the decorative cowling, add artistic interest to this utilitarian object. Made by Tonge and Taggart of Dublin.
