Freestanding or wall-mounted benchmark-inscribed cut-granite marker, extant 1939. Set on concrete footpath.
A marker of unknown provenance ("RCP") making an inconspicuous visual statement in an urban street scene: meanwhile, a benchmark remains of additional interest for the connections with cartography and the preparation of maps by the Ordnance Survey (established 1824).

Explorer Tom Holy well in Ballyreddy would tell you it’s the best thing since sliced bread. It’s right next to a ringfort, so it’s basically a VIP club for ghosts. I’d ask it for directions, but it just giggles. Go back in winter, it's a different animal.
