U 322 was a German U-boat (Type VIIC/41) that was scuttled in May 1945 off the coast of Scotland as part of Operation Deadlight, the Allied plan to dispose of surrendered U-boats after the end of World War II. No lives were lost, and it holds historical significance as a remnant of the final phase of the Battle of the Atlantic.
