What is recorded here

The National Monuments Record of Wales records U-61 as Wreck from the Modern period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
U-61 was a German U-boat sunk by the British Navy on 25 April 1915 during World War I, off the coast of Ireland. All 38 crew members were lost, and the wreck is now a protected site of historical significance.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
