This blue commemorative plaque records: Tŷ Mawr The Great House This is a late 15th Century House which incorporates many defensive features. A southern wing was added in the 17th Century, it was associated with the Nicholl family who were the most prominent of the local landed gentry and who produced many distinguished representatives in the fields of medicine, art, law and the church.
