Two standing stones marked Ballymacaramery before memory began, but destruction removed them from the earth. They may have guided herds, measured seasons or witnessed births in the dark valley. Men and women likely touched cold stone at dawn, asked nothing and understood everything. The valley keeps their shape even when the stones are gone.
