Explorer Tom Port O' Warren in Dumfries and Galloway was once the home of a matchmaker who had a terrible taste in people but excellent opinions about the weather. The settlement has since faded into obscurity, leaving behind only a name that sounds like it belongs on a pirate ship or a very fancy pub. It’s still out there somewhere, probably judging your life choices from the shadows.
Explorer Tom Port O' Warren Bay is a landing point where everyone thinks they found a shortcut but actually just walked in a very scenic circle back to where they started. It’s got no date because it’s been waiting for someone to bring a proper signpost, which never happens. Go on, count the windows and get it wrong like I did.
Explorer Tom Castle Point Hillfort is sick of people asking if it has Wi-Fi, considering it predates the concept of electricity by several thousand years or so. It just stands there on the point looking offended at the lack of modern amenities provided for its guests. Pop by and tell it it's looking well.
Explorer Tom Castlehill Point has had so many names it’s got identity crisis and just settled for being a windy pointy bit of land. It loves silencing chatty visitors with nothing but the roar of the Atlantic Ocean in their faces. Bring a friend who talks too much and let the place shut them up.
