What is recorded here

Station 2 along the Turas Columcille that is marked by a cross-pillar (DG080-029001-) on the foundation of a rectangular leacht (dry walled altar) on a prominent rock outcrop 50m west of Station 1 (Herity 1998, 18).
Linked to Saint Columba (Columcille), the site is part of a pilgrimage route associated with the saint's travels and spiritual influence in early medieval Ireland. The cross-pillar and altar suggest a place of prayer and devotion, reflecting the tradition of marking pilgrimage stations with sacred structures.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
