Tunnel in Drumdowney Upper gives the railway a horseshoe-shaped entrance. Hanging a horseshoe over the door is meant to bring luck; making the train go through one is demanding a fairly comprehensive blessing.

Tunnel, opened 1906. Part creeper- or ivy-covered rendered channelled walls with rock faced stringcourses supporting parapets having rock faced coping.
