What is recorded here

Lackagh More is a steep-sided earthen castle mound, thirty-five metres across and four metres high, sitting at the base of a Kildare slope beside a ruined tower house and church. Its concave summit and shallow surrounding ditch mark it as a defensive motte rather than a burial place, though age and grass have blurred that purpose. The mound still rises above the tillage like a forgotten guardpost, waiting for someone to remember why it was built.

At the base of a slope in tillage, with a slight ridge to the NE. A ruined tower house (KD022-017----) stands c. 150m to the E, with a church (KD022-018----) and graveyard (KD022-018001-) just beyond to the ENE. An overgrown, circular, steep-sided, earthen mound (H. 4m; est. base diam. c. 35m ) with a concave summit (diam. 16m), is girdled by a shallow fosse (Wth. 2m) with traces of an outer bank.
