Trwyn Careg Ddu is a headland composed primarily of Silurian greywacke, formed around 440–420 million years ago through the deposition and compression of sand in deep marine environments. It is notable for its resistant rock formation, which has withstood coastal erosion to form a prominent coastal feature in Pembrokeshire.
