What is recorded here

Ó Danachair (1955, 210) recorded the following details about Trinity Well; ‘A strong spring issuing from the rock, roughly covered with slabs of stone. Devotions are still made occasionally; formerly large crowds came on the Saturday before Trinity Sunday'. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 21 May 2019
Trinity Well is associated with Christian devotion, likely linked to the veneration of the Holy Trinity, though no specific saint is mentioned in historical records. The site was once a significant place of pilgrimage, attracting large crowds for healing or spiritual purposes, though such devotions are now less frequent.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
