Gothic-revival Presbyterian Church, built 1861, on a cruciform plan with shallow transepts, broach spire, buttresses and large window openings with delicate tracery and carved stone. Slate pitched roof. Interior includes a gallery supported on foliated iron brackets and an open timber roof with carved stone brackets. Church is situated on an elevated site having stone plinth wall with railings to front.

Ashlar limestone Gothic-revival church with fine cut stone details, tracery and leaded glass windows and retaining interior elements such as gallery and open timber roof structure. Built on an elevated site, it is visible from many parts of the city and has a number of associated buildings in its environs.Design attributed to an English architect J. Tarring.
