Tresco Flats is a coastal rock feature on the island of Tresco in the Isles of Scilly, composed primarily of Tertiary volcanic basalt. The basalt formed around 50 to 60 million years ago during volcanic activity associated with the opening of the Atlantic Ocean, and the area is notable for its well-preserved columnar jointing and coastal erosion features.
