Town Wall, Park Row. A town wall, built of stone about 1300, ran on this Line from Chapel Bar up to the Castle. In 1800, houses were built on the remains of it, and the ditch was filled in to lay out Park Row.
The Town Wall at Park Row dates to around 1300 and originally extended from Chapel Bar to the Castle, serving as a defensive structure. By 1800, its remains were incorporated into new housing developments, and the associated ditch was filled to create Park Row.
