Irve, Temple Ichevecham, Irwo or Irewe: one name, several tongues, a tower standing where a medieval parish church and graveyard once marked the life and death of Redhall. The house may have risen from church stones, taking light and room from a place built for prayer. If so, its walls still hold the shape of that older use, and every room lives above buried names.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as TOWER-HOUSE on site of MEDIEVAL PARISH CHURCH & GRAVEYARD: IRVE or TEMPLE ICHEVECHAM or IRWO or IREWE. Recorded period: MEDIEVAL; MED/L.MED.
