What is recorded here

Inside the closed bawn, dead men and women still breathe. They walk past rooms without doors, touch walls that have no seams, and wait for the living to remember what they forgot. The bawn does not appear on ordinary maps because it is not made of earth. It is made from the discarded lives of everyone who entered Ballycarry and stopped believing they were real.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as FORTIFICATION - BAWN. Recorded period: C17TH. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
