Tooin of Rusht rises to approximately 130 metres and is part of the rolling upland terrain characteristic of the Orkney Islands. Its name, like many in Orkney, may derive from Old Norse, reflecting the region's Viking heritage. The hill contributes to the cultural and geographical identity of the local landscape.
