Tondrislee Fort is a ringfort, a type of circular defensive structure commonly associated with early medieval Ireland, dating likely between the 5th and 10th centuries AD. Local folklore, though not well documented, may associate such sites with fairy activity or ancient settlements, as is common with many raths in Irish tradition.
