What is recorded here

Coolreagh More was a tower house in County Clare, Ireland. It has fallen into ruins and lost its exact location, leaving behind a ghost mark rather than a standing wall. The case is a warning about memory itself: what is not witnessed, measured or kept can disappear without a trace.
The precise location of this castle is unknown. The location indicated here should only be considered as indicative of that recorded in the early 1900s (pers. comm. R. Ua Cróinín and M. Breen, 21 December 2014). Compiled by: Paul Walsh See attached document with details from Risteárd Ua Cróinín and Martin Breen, The Castles and Tower-houses of Co. Clare (unpublished report). The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
