This green commemorative plaque records: Tommy Brown GM 1925-1945 On 30th October 1942 helped salvage codebooks from a German U-boat which led to breaking the German naval Enigma code, saving many British lives. Lived here prior to distinguished service aboard HMS Petard Recorded plaque organisation: Leicestershire County Council.
