Inside the ruined chancel of Caherconlish Church, a 1672 chest tomb still holds Mary Annabel Gould, wife of Sir George Ingoldsby. Her name and death date are carved across the A-shaped lid, waiting for visitors who might have walked beside her in life. The medieval stones around her have collapsed into shadow, but her marker remains clear on the north side, preserving a private grief against the decay of the building.

Chest-tomb dating from 1672 which marked the burial place of Mary Annabel Gould, daughter of James Gould of Ludden Castle and wife of Sir George Ingoldsby of Ballybricken Castle located on N side of chancel inside the medieval ruins of Caherconlish Church (LI014-079005-). Dineley drew a sketch of this tomb on which he wrote the following about the location of the monument; 'On ye left hand side going to the Alter is seen this upon Sr. George Ingoldesby’s wives mother' (NLI MS 392; Shirley 1858-67, 197-8). The sketch shows the monument as a chest-tomb with A-shaped lid on top of which was carved the following inscription; 'RIS TH M. ANNABEL GOULD DIED XXVII MAY MDCLXXII'.
