Tomás O'Leary is a former Irish scrum-half born in Cork in 1983 who helped Munster win European rugby's top prize in 2006 and 2008 before retiring in 2017. He learned the game at Christian Brothers College, where schoolyard rivalry and local pride sharpened his vision on the field. His career moved through London Irish and Montpellier, but the memory of Cork remains the root: a small city boy carrying a ball across Europe, still answering to the lane where he first ran.
