City of Dundee District Council on Saturday, 20th June 1987 to mark the Centenary of the Tay Rail Bridge J.S. Cornell General Manager ScotRail This Plaque is mounted on the Coping Stone from Pier 12 of the original Tay Bridge Recorded plaque organisation: Scotrail.
Tom Mitchell served as Lord Provost of Dundee, a position equivalent to mayor, and played a significant role in local governance and community events, such as unveiling plaques that commemorate important historical structures like the Tay Rail Bridge.
