The Tolbooth Steeple, part of the original Tolbooth building in Glasgow, was constructed in the late 16th century, with the steeple added in 1601. It was built in a late medieval style and served as a civic and judicial building before being demolished in 1809; the steeple was relocated to the Glasgow Cross area and is a significant landmark in the city's historical center.
