In pasture, on N side of field fence. Well now covered by four stone slabs; water from it pumped to nearby dwelling. Photograph taken May 1913 (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 3, opp. 340) shows opening to well set into field fence, lined with stone and topped with stone lintel. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 555) as 'Tobar Caoch - Well of the Blind...having a special cure for sore eyes. Rounds are still paid on Sunday mornings. Persons paying rounds, go early in the morning, and speak to nobody until they return home after mass'. According to local information, visited up to 1950s and rags tied to surrounding bushes.
