Tobar Salruc, now vanished without a visible mark, lay sixty metres south of Salrock church in County Galway. Mapped clearly once, it had disappeared by 1896, reduced to the phrase “Site of” on later surveys. People may have drawn water there for healing or ritual before the well closed, but no stone or basin remains to confirm the use.

Some 60m S of Salrock church (GA010-008001-). This well, correctly Tobar Salruc, is indicated on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map but was evidently gone by time of 2nd (1896), when the words 'Site of' are appended. No visible surface trace survives. Linked to Saint Salrock, an early Irish saint associated with healing and local pilgrimage, the well was traditionally visited for its curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin. The site's disappearance by the late 19th century suggests it may have been a small, rural holy well with a long but undocumented tradition of veneration.
