Tobernabantierna is a dry holy well in County Cork, Ireland, enclosed by a small stone-built structure. It no longer gives water or receives prayers, but the stones still mark the place where people once believed the earth could give life back. What is missing is not a fault; it is the shape of time. The well stopped answering, and the hand that reached into it learned the difference between faith and fact.

Tobernabantierna is associated with St. Bantierna, a lesser-known early Irish saint, and was traditionally visited for its supposed healing properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes. The well's enclosure and name suggest a long-standing Christian and folkloric tradition, though its current dry state has ended any ritual use.
