Situated on the N side of a rise, in pasture. Annotated ‘Tobermogue’ on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map. Leveled holy well described in 1977 as no surface remains visible. Tobermogue is traditionally associated with Saint Mogue (or Mogua), a 6th-century Irish saint known for his ascetic practices and healing miracles. The site's leveling and lack of surface remains suggest it was once a significant pilgrimage or healing well, common in early Christian Ireland.
